Terms of Service

These terms describe how StackOpsOne scopes, performs, invoices, and hands off apps, websites, AI-assisted workflows, code, data, and technical operations work.

Effective date: May 17, 2026

Services

StackOpsOne provides scoped digital task execution and technical implementation, including apps, websites, stores, AI-assisted workflows, dashboards, forms, internal tools, WordPress/WooCommerce work, hosting and domain checks, email setup checks, HTML/CSS or template work, React/JavaScript/TypeScript or PHP changes, Liquid templates, data and report work, AI support automation, document-based answer workflows, support/inbox drafting workflows, documentation, checklist, and SOP packages, JSON or YAML config work, SQL-safe read/query/cleanup planning, reviewed tools and helper scripts when the scope is clear, staged before/after review, plain-English handoff notes, tested work, and related implementation work.

Scope and approval

Work begins after the requested task, expected outcome, access needs, price, and payment path are reasonably understood and accepted. Work outside the accepted scope may require a new quote, approval, invoice, milestone, or schedule.

AI work is scoped like other digital work: source material, expected output, review rules, escalation rules, testing, and handoff must be clear before implementation or use.

Plugin installs, theme changes, settings changes, template changes, and other live or high-risk changes require explicit approval when they can affect production behavior.

Customer responsibilities

You are responsible for providing accurate information, necessary access, lawful authorization to request the work, timely feedback, and safe copies or backups where appropriate. You should not provide unnecessary sensitive information.

Please do not send passwords or secret keys by email. When access is needed, the safest option is usually a temporary user, collaborator invite, or limited-permission access through the platform itself. If a password or key is unavoidable, use a one-time secret link such as Password Pusher and set it to expire after one view or a short time. Access should be limited to the work being performed and removed after the task is complete.

Fees and payment

Scope is confirmed before quote or invoice. Stripe invoice/payment link is the default payment path for scoped work. Prices are listed in CAD. USD invoices are available on request and are converted from the confirmed CAD quote using the current exchange rate. First-time fixed work is normally paid before work starts, and larger work may be split into milestones.

Post-completion payment, net terms, vendor portals, cheque, wire, bank details, PayPal, or unusual payment requests require manual review before work begins. Work may be paused until required payment, milestone payment, or buyer-side approval steps are complete.

Delivery and revisions

Completed work is normally delivered with a brief handoff note describing what was done, what was checked, and any remaining customer-side action. Work may be completed directly or staged with before/after review when that is the safer path. Final handoff is released after required payment is confirmed. Corrections for incomplete or inaccurate scoped work may be handled as part of the original engagement. New requests, feature creep, or expanded scope may require separate approval and a separate quote.

Access and third-party services

Some work may involve third-party platforms such as hosting providers, CMS platforms, email providers, payment providers, analytics tools, or business software. StackOpsOne is not responsible for third-party outages, platform rules, account restrictions, billing changes, or provider decisions.

Temporary access, collaborator invites, limited-permission users, and restricted API keys remain under your account control. You are responsible for granting only the permissions needed for the approved work and revoking access after completion.

Acceptable use

You may not use StackOpsOne services for unlawful activity, deceptive activity, unauthorized access, harmful software, spam, infringement, or work you do not have permission to request.

Limitations

StackOpsOne provides digital task execution and technical implementation based on the information and access available. Some issues may depend on third-party systems, incomplete information, legacy code, provider restrictions, or risks discovered during review. Liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim, to the extent permitted by law.

Changes

These terms may be updated as services, tools, payment paths, or legal requirements change. The effective date above shows the latest version.
